We were visiting the historic center of Treviso and, at lunchtime, we entered this bar not far from S.Caterina (or from S.Maria Maggiore) curious by the suggest... read more We were visiting the historic center of Treviso and, at lunchtime, we entered this bar not far from S.Caterina (or from S.Maria Maggiore) curious by the suggestion of an acquaintance. A first pleasant surprise was to find us in an environment with living rooms (3/4 places each) in a kind of open space. When the owner (a nice lady of Sardinian origin) brought us spaghetti to bottarga and sardi gnocchetti (all just cooked, with light ingredients) we definitely established that it was really worth it! A bean: close to each table there is a shelf with a dozen books (I read some pages of Madame Bovary).

It was lunchti... read more My husband and I went to the bar Bìscaro out of curiosity: We had been told that she was run by a Sardinian lady like us and it has intrigued us. It was lunchtime, and knowing that he prepared fast dishes we asked for a plate of spaghetti. In the reasonable expectation of the arrival of the service, there are many people, all employees of the ambulancemen who are in front of the bar. They were all people with the minutes, who arrived there and asked for the preparation of a fast dish that allowed them to return to work as soon as possible. Well Rosy (this is the name of the lady who runs the bar) had a kind and affectionate phrase for everyone and in the meantime prepared what was asked; at the same time, it was seen that the customers had a great relationship with Rosy and they would like to take something to the bar Bìscaro (and curiosity... we discovered that the bar bears the name of the person to whom the street is called). In short: at Bìscaro breakfasts, fancy sandwiches and fast dishes for lunch. One last thing: the products with which Rosy prepares sandwiches, dishes, etc. are genuine and carefully chosen, drawing on the culinary traditions of Sardinia.
