What JoInTexas doesn't like about Roma:
Would I go to this restaurant again? NOT for the food. The pasta was overcooked and ok at best. My husband’s lasagna was the worst he had after sampling all over northern Italy. THE view cannot be best! It is absolutely lovely and I would go again for drinks and snacks. The staff was welcoming even though we were the only non-Italians on the patio the day we went. Bel bar, personale molto cordiale e disponibile, ottimi aperitivi ad un ottimo prezzo, ottimi croissant insieme a gelati e caffè. un luogo molto accogliente, offre la possibilità di sedersi all'interno ma anche all'esterno con una sorta di gazebo (non so se si può definire) che si affaccia sulla strada.
Ottimo bar per fare una buona colazione. .personale competente e prodotti di ottima qualità..gentilezza il primo posto. e gestito con ottima organizzazione
We were asking for help with someone that speaks Italian to call a restaurant that we made prior dinner reservations however we were not be able to make it after we arrived late into Lake Como and we found Laura from Bar Roma who unselfishly made the call for us. We decided to rest and have dinner instead at Bar Roma and it turns out to be one of the most hospitable experience we had in Italy. The eggplant and pasta here were delicious and what is more important is not only the food and cuisine but the impeccable service from the entire team led by Laura that makes the difference not only to us but the entire room of other guests. My friend secretly informed them it’s my birthday and they surprised me with a cake that comes with fireworks. Wow, i am impressed. Gratitude to Laura for making my day with such wonderful experience.
Literally cannot thank Laura and her staff enough. We got to Tremezzo late after travel, and they stayed open for us basically providing us with a private dining experience. The food was so great, we came back a second time for lunch! The eggplant is to die and the mushroom tagliatelle might be my favorite meal of my entire trip! The service was incredible we learned so much about the culture, area, and food by chatting with everyone. Highly recommend.
Excellent location, good food and very friendly service. This little restaurant has an outdoor area next to the lake that is absolutely enchanting. Would highly recommend dit. Great value for money too.
