I asked the Asian server why there was such a delay between the meals, but she simply mentioned something about not having a booking and walked away, which did not seem like a valid excuse for the slow service. It had been almost an hour since we arrived, and the service was very slow and poor, with numerous excuses. I advised the waiting staff that the food was not up to par, and we decided to leave. I suggested that there are many other good restaurants in Traralgon where customers would get better value for their money. In conclusion, the bar staff was excellent, but the catering service at the RSL was disappointing.

I went to the bar to order a beer after a 600km car journey and I was the only customer, apart from...one other, who had just been served and was departing the bar area. The bar person then left the bar and went to an office where two other staff were and I was left at the bar (with a wicked thirst) for over 3 minutes, so I left. The restaurant was closed for the week after Christmas up until New Year, so no meal available. In conclusion, my view is that the club is more interested in the pokies than a friendly club atmosphere. Would I visit again NO.

On... read more Whenever we visit family, we always stop by the RSL for a Friday night meal. You need to sign in to get in, but I'm not sure if a member has to sign you in. On this particular visit, we also participated in the barefoot bowls event on Monday night. It was just $5, which included a couple of games and a sausage barbecue. It was definitely a great deal!
