It's the first time I have entered a bookshop café since being in one in Portland, Ore... read more Finally I made it to this café , after a recommendation from a co-worker. It's the first time I have entered a bookshop café since being in one in Portland, Oregon many years ago. Obviously this one is on a much smaller scale, but it is charming nonetheless. There is an assortment of books on display and alphabetically listed. Initially I struggled with locating the area I was looking for ...but I found the biographical area and what a delightful array of secondhand books it had. After making a selection, I ordered a toastie and coffee and sat in the corner, turning pages on my latest acquisitions. I am a self professed bibliophile, so this store was ideal for me. Why did I wait so long? The coffee was okay and the café had a good selection of lactose free options. The toastie was average. But there is a charm that will certainly have you returning to this store over and over.

I enjoyed a rich, sweet double shot espresso, a beautifull... read more The staff was fantastic, the atmosphere was lovely, and most importantly, the coffee was exceptional. I enjoyed a rich, sweet double shot espresso, a beautifully crafted pour over, and a tasty soy flat white. I was thrilled to stumble upon such great coffee while passing through. Unfortunately, it's a bit too far for me to make it my regular spot.
