Hot Spot Fish & Chips - Traralgon

This is the best place for hot chips.Not only are the staff smart enough to put holes in the paper bag so they don't go soggy, they taste clean rather than too oily. quantity/value is good.The potato cakes actually taste like they have potato in them but could use more potato.Most the other "seafood" takeaway in Latrobe Valley serve deep fried batter filled with mushy flour and oil, thats not a potato cake! Come on potato is cheap, no excuse for messing that up.The big downfall I am sorry to say given fish and chips is my favourite..All the seafood tastes terrible. TERRIBLE. How could this be? near perfect chips, better potato cakes but terrible fish & scollops that give me the runs. All in all I would go back for the chips.

Hot spot serves up a pretty decent quality fish and chip. Service is prompt and efficient! Would reccomend giving this place a go!

Always good fish and chips, burgers etc. Real calamari NOT prepackaged rubbish. Staff always friendly. The place is always busy but the food produced is always good.

The family that runs this place is lovely, always go out of their way to be polite and chatty. Chips are always hot, crispy and fresh and the flake is to die for. Burgers can be a hit or miss
