A little know gem in Traralgon, Bistro Grata works hard to bring fresh, seasonal local produce to you for a great price. The head chef has a sustainable and enlightening philosophy towards his menu and it blends into delightful dishes that change with the season, just as our food and produce does. Eating here gives a wonderful example of amazing Gippsland and Australian produce. They stock great craft beers and alcoh... View all feedback.
What Baby Beatty doesn't like about Bistro Grata:
Went for Valentines Day dinner. Main meal (steak) was fine, but let down by ridiculously slow service. Ended up skipping on dessert since it was taking forever to come out apparently the kitchen was having trouble with the fondue or something, but only found that out when we went up to the register.... We weren't the only ones having slow service too by the looks of it, other diners were definitely noticing it. View all feedback.
Delicious food prepared with great care. Small menu so that produce is fresh and top quality. Nothing was too much effort. Thanks for a lovely experience
Great restaurant. Every mouthful was amazing. So much flavour. Staff very attentive. A hidden gem in Traralgon Highly recommend.
Quite pleasant damper was exceptional. Would be good to have The Age Epicure article available for patrons to read. Staff could make more of the chef's reputation and the emphasis on local produce.

Fantastic food! The staff were incredibly helpful in assisting me with wine selection, as I’m new to wines. I ended up with a delightful local Gippsland wine that I truly enjoyed. The prices are comparable to the Bowls Club, but the food here is top-notch and clearly prepared with passion. My friend ordered a steak and proclaimed it the best he’s ever had, which is quite an endorsement! He also tried a recommended craft beer, another local Gippsland brew, and he loved it. This place is definitely worth revisiting. The atmosphere is clean and inviting, with tablecloths and neatly dressed staff who are both helpful and friendly.
