During our visit to Waterford, we stopped by O'Shea's. The staff were friendly, courteous, well-mannered, and attentive, with the bar and restaurant team truly standing out. My only critique is that I preferred the previous menu, as the fish and chips aren't as good as they once were. Nonetheless, O'Shea's remains a delightful place to visit.
O'Shea's provides a fantastic dining experience, combining delicious food with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The staff are outstanding, enhancing the overall visit. After a morning spent exploring the boutiques in Waterford, it was the perfect spot to relax and savor a great meal. I chose the roast beef, which was just as delightful as the dress I purchased earlier. Treat yourself to a tasty meal by the sea at O'Shea's.
I ordered the spicy chicken wings with blue cheese sauce, the only choice on the menu, but instead received overly salty wings with barbecue sauce. The main dish was quite dry, so we only ate the meat and left the mashed potatoes and vegetables, which seemed to have been reheated several times. The restroom cleanliness was concerning, especially during COVID-19, as there was no soap and it was very dirty. Overall, I wouldn’t be in a hurry to return to this restaurant.
Unfortunately, there is very little to praise about O'Shea's. All four of us were unhappy with the quality of our meals. I requested a medium steak, but it was served well done. The chicken wings we had as starters were underwhelming—€11 for about nine wings that were low quality. Overall, the food was below average. The decor felt worn and outdated, and the cleanliness of the restaurant was questionable. I would suggest looking elsewhere for a better dining experience.
I visited O'Shea's with my family last month. The staff were welcoming and offered great service despite our short notice. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and the prices were fair. However, a few dishes fell short—the lasagna was quite dry, and the burgers lacked flavor and felt cheaply made.
