We have had a so-so experience on our last visit. The waiter took our order very quickly, it wasn't very busy. This restaurant does a lot of take out business. However, three of the four orders were wrong. When we pointed out the mistake the waiter took back the food but it was a long time before the correct food came out. Located in the small community of Montrose, near Trail, the Montrose Garden Restaurant is a hidden gem that my husband and I stumbled upon while driving through the area. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes at reasonable prices. The owners are incredibly friendly and make you feel welcome. We particularly enjoyed the Thai Chicken Stir Fried Rice Noodle, Vietnamese Spring Rolls, and Wor Wonton Soup. What sets this restaurant apart is their commitment to serving pure and healthy food without any MSG, onions, or garlic, although they are happy to add these ingredients upon request. This is a refreshing change from most restaurants where it is often difficult to find dishes without onions or garlic. We are excited to return to the Montrose Garden Restaurant, which is a popular spot in the area, especially during dinner time. They are open seven days a week.
Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was less than satisfactory. The establishment appeared outdated and unclean, with dust and dirt present throughout. Communication was a challenge as the staff spoke limited English. When I requested a glass of iced water, the server initially forgot the ice and proceeded to add it using her fingers, resulting in floaters in the water that made it undrinkable. The meal itself was mediocre, with some dishes tasting as though they had been reheated and dried out. It was evident that the upkeep of the restaurant and customer satisfaction were not priorities for the staff. The atmosphere was further dampened by a loud Chinese television playing in the background. Unless improvements are made, we will not be returning to this restaurant. I hope to discover a place in Fruitvale that serves fresh and authentic Chinese cuisine.
Our last visit to this restaurant was mediocre. The waiter quickly took our order as it wasn't very busy. This restaurant mainly focuses on takeout orders. Unfortunately, three out of the four orders we received were incorrect. When we pointed out the mistake, the waiter took back the food but it took a long time for the correct dishes to come out. By the time they arrived, my husband had already finished his meal and had to wait for us to finish. We have ordered takeout from this place before and will continue to do so in the future. Overall, this restaurant is not at the top of our list for dining in the area.

It is not high on our places to eat in the area.
Located in the small community of MONTROSE, nearby Trail. We happened to drive through Montrose and my husband spotted the Montrose Garden Restaurant. What a hidden gem this little place turned out to be !A wonderful varied menu with reasonable prices. The owners are super friendly and go out of their way to make you feel very welcome. We enjoyed the "Thai Chicken Stir Fried Rice Noodle", "Vietnamese Spring Rolls" and the "Wor Wonton Soup". The best, for me, is that the food served here is pure and healthy, no MSG, no onions or garlic etc. They will add those spices if you ask for it. This is the opposite of most restaurants, where it is often not possible to order dishes without onions or garlic. We look forward to returning to the Montrose Garden Restaurant ! This restaurant is very popular in the area, especially around dinner time. Open 7 ddays a week.
