J & V Restaurant - Trail

We arrived just before closing time . Excellent service - they were probably close to being ready to lock up but gave us excellent service and food

We have eaten take out from here probably 15-20 times since they opened in south Castlegar. It's on the way home for the wife from work and it's a 1 minute drive from the house. Love the food, they had some issues the first couple weeks with orders being missed placed or missing all together but they replaced that problem and it's been excellent since. Big portions, lots of flavour and as seen on another review not greasy! Our number one go to for Chinese.

I ordered take out yesterday and I had never tried this place before. It was absolutely delicious! A large portion, fed me two meals! Fast, friendly service and the food was not greasy at all! Highly recommended!

I was craving Chinese food and wanted to try something besides Canton Cafe and I found out that they moved to Castlegar, which is about half an hour away and I have no means to get out there, They should have kept the Trail location to keep the local clients happy and had a second location in Castlegar to showcase what Trail has to offer.

I was visiting relatives in Trail and we decided to order in Chinese food. I have had lots of take out Chinese food that was average or pretty run of the mill, this was not that kind of Chinese food. I enjoyed all the dishes we ordered - especially the deep fried prawns which were in a nice light batter. Everything came hot and there was lots of it. I hear thye are moving to Castlegar. Lucky them!
