Crown Point Hotel - Trail

The hotel part has been closed for several years. Don't know when or if it will ever open. They are trying to renovate it to some degree.

When the Crown Point Hotel opened it was the fanciest place in the region. The waiters wore bow ties, suit vests and slacks, and crisp white shirts. It was a special place to dine or meet for business with a New York feel. In this age of nostalgia (think Mad Men for a setting) it's time for an investor who cares to come in and save this spot before it is too late to restore.

I can still have a good time at the bar on a (hopeful) busy weekend night. It should be sold to people with a fresh mindset for the whole building. It would take a lot of work but maybe one day.

A few days ago, I went in for a quiet beer during late night and one person rambled to me to "clean his money" of something and I told him to buzz off. There was no security there as well. Unfortunatley, the restaurant is close due to the owner passing away and you have to bring in your own lunch and dinner! The hell!
