Mr Chips - Trafford
Mr Chips
Description
Wigan's fish and chip shops offer a varied dining experience, with opinions ranging widely. Patrons have noted declines in portion sizes and quality, with complaints of cold fish and slow service overshadowing positive memories. However, some visitors found delight in fresh, succulent fish and commendable service from attentive staff. A cozy dining area with additional menu options has garnered praise for its atmosphere, though concerns about bread freshness and inconsistent meal quality persist. Overall, while nostalgia remains strong, maintaining high standards proves essential for the community's beloved chippy traditions.

I popped in here for lunch one Monday. The staff were really friendly and helpful and I was seated quickly. The menu is simple but plenty of choice and great prices. I ordered the fish, chips and peas along with a barm cake. The fish was excellent and cooked well. It tasted absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was great and staff both friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Good service, atmosphere cannot fault it. The best fish I have ever tasted, even the batter was fantastic. Sit in and they fry it fresh for you
I recently enjoyed a delicious meal of fish, chips, and peas at this restaurant. The food was fantastic and the staff were extremely friendly. I will definitely be returning and will be recommending this place to my friends and family.
