I think the food quality was good, very fresh and veggies were not over cooked (crisp not slopy). Could have had more sweets available but overall Excellent value for money.service was friendly and prompt. Seemed very popular with the locals, which is always a good sign! Would go again. What User doesn't like about Sun Doo:
Very ordinary "Aussie" taste based menu, nothing exciting, nothing new for years, churn out the same old stuff. Must suit local tastes, but don't bother going there if you want anything close to genuine Chinese cuisine. And the take-away was cold. View all feedback.
I was with friends in townsville. we had a huge day in the garden and didn't feel like getting ready and going to dinner. we decided to get a Chinese food and find sun doo restaurant that supply! we have ordered too much. but eating was delicious and huge meal times! the only disappointment was the Mongolian lamb. it was bland and not seasoned enough. next time we want to visit the restaurant and sit down to enjoy their kitchen!
Chose sun doo Chinese restaurant for a family dinner. the staff was efficient and friendly. the decoration must be updated. variety of meal times, excellent, also sweets. meal times could be hotter. the price was appropriate for, all they eat buffet,
Nine of us have shared here with six people and three order solo. there were no complaints about our meals. all were well dimensioned and delicious. the salt and pfeffer spells and the black-black Beijing style were particularly good. the veggies were crisp and...fresh the wee are cheap and it is always service with a smile.
Not the first time I was here and never disappointed the place. eating is great and also cheap. use the trip to the restaurant when they eat in townsville and love Chinese food. a bit from the main cbd and stretch. but the short trip worth. the service is always respectful.
This restaurant is quite large and heavily decorated in golds, reds, a variety of wallpapers and patterns different to most but certainly not dull. We shared sesame toast and steamed dim sims between us for entrees. As all four in our group were having...short soup, our waitress suggested ordering a tureen to divide between us, which was meant to be equivalent to three servings but was plenty for us all. My sister in law and her husband chose lamb with ginger and shallots for their main meal and hubby and I had beef fillets with pepper, which was very tasty. We had plenty of fried rice and all really enjoyed our meals.
