Food is always amazing! Best chicken marsala in the city

Dinner on Monday night 8 26 2024. I ordered the sirloin filet medium cooked. I couldn't even eat it. The steak was cooked rare. Bloody and rubber like. When the waitress came to clear the table she noticed I didn't eat it and said she'd take it off the bill. Not wanting to cause a scene I accepted her offer. Table of 4 with drinks, multiple appetizers 3 lemon sauce haddock dinners and 1 filet was our order. The filet was on the bill half price. Being from SC and visiting upstate NY at least once a year. I give this Cafe 1 of 5 stars only because the bar tender was on cue. Worse steak I've ever had.

I got the lemon chicken over spaghetti. Flavor was spot on, not over-bearing. The breading on the chicken was just right and not too heavy. Would recommend and re-visit!

One of my favorite Thursday or Friday night stops. Go for the food stay for the atmosphere. Don’t plan on getting a table immediately, but plan on hanging with friends at the bar for a drink or two. Once you get to eat, they have a good menu and it’s cozy. If you’re looking for chicken francese, try their lemon chicken which is the best around, and it’s NOT soaked in butter, definitely a strong recommendation!
