Whatever you do guys , DO NOT EAT FROM HERE! I have had dioreah for the past 3 days I have never had food poisoning so bad , I went in to the restaurant to buy , it’s not like it was delivered , and the food was stale the prawns were stale the sweet and sour chicken was stale all of it was TERRIBLE it tasted like plastic I can’t believe that they tried to tell me they were the best Chinese food in the area , DO NOT EAT FROM HERE! 20.05.2025

This Chinese restaurant has the best takeout food in the neighborhood. The dishes are always fresh, tasty, and never oily. It has become my favorite place for Friday night takeout. I highly recommend it.
The Silver Star restaurant is known for serving the finest Chinese cuisine in the area. With 30 years of loyal patronage, I, a retired chef, can attest that they are truly the best in Hackney and Tower Hamlets. While some may gripe about wait times on weekends, I believe that top-notch quality requires patience. My advice to those dissatisfied on Fridays is to either try their hand at cooking for a large group or simply pick up their order in person.
I had never visited this takeout spot before, but decided to give it a try since it's conveniently located near my apartment. I'm happy we took the chance because the food was excellent. The portions were generous and the dishes weren't greasy. Everything we ordered was delicious, including the duck, chicken Chow Mein, rice, chili beef, seaweed, and crispy spring rolls. The prices were reasonable as well. I would definitely suggest trying it out if you're in the mood for Chinese food in Bethnal Green.

Really beautiful place eating is always from a good standard and does not take long to prepare. the personal is also friendly.
I've been using Silver Star since my parents used the first generation . I'm very good friends with the latest generation and bring chillies and herbs from my garden for my food sometimes. A wonderful family they know me by name and by phone number. Best food .
Let me start of by saying the guy at the counter is very freindly and welcoming and has really good manners. The food is nice and authentic and the SWEET AND SOUR chicken is one of the best I have ever tasted, just a bit high on the price, but if your looking for really nice chinese food this is the go to Place
I've been coming to this family run business for ten years, I've always found the staff friendly, food delicious and reasonably priced, I keep coming back for more. It is my favourite take away. Just remember they're closed on Tuesday, I still keep forgetting!
