Everything was fine, but a little tired and uninspiring. Drab decor with a large TV on (which is fine I was there for the food). The food was OK but nothing to write home about, not as cheap as it might be for such a mundane experience.

I ate at this joint on 5 occasions during my 2 weeks stay in london for work/pleasure at the hotel next door. Spent new years in London as a 1st timer. Introduced to this place by couple of old friends who have made london home now. This is down as afghan food joint but it 's more like indian. I love the lamb ribs at this place they were marvelicious (brit accent). Tried curries with rice twice and it was awsome both times.Recommendations:Lamb ghost with lentils ricechcicken balti, chickpeas spinach riceLamb ribs= MUST every time!Staceymansfield, tx.

Been here a couple of times and I am a huge fan of their lamb karahi, so soft and tender. Place could do with brightening up a little but has great food at an excellent price

Shahi Karahi is a Pakistani restaurant and takeaway at the (quiet) south end of Brick Lane, they specialise in tandoori grills and kebabs but also have a range of traditional curries. I went along for a quick midweek lunch – their food is fantastic value and they offer a set lunch deal of a meat dish with chips or rice and salad for £6. The set up is pretty basic – they have an open grill at front of restaurant and a dining area with about 60 covers in the back...
