Reviews - Hazev

#23 - Order Vegetarian Tower Hamlets, Turkish, Soup

Reviews summary

Nestled by the Thames in Canary Wharf, Hazev offers a charming backdrop with its Turkish-inspired interiors and diverse dining options. While some patrons rave about the flavorful dishes and generous portions, others lament the steep prices and inconsistent service. Complaints about overly salty meals and mediocre vegan options surface frequently, alongside disappointing interactions with staff. Nevertheless, many diners appreciate the ambiance and delectable offerings like baklava and salmon pasta. With an inviting café atmosphere and a promising menu, Hazev stands out, yet potential visitors may want to temper expectations regarding pricing and portion sizes.

What bsjsndjdbdkahsh dislikes about Hazev:

Restaurant at walking distance from Canary Wharf station We had chicken skewers which tasted ok but cold The service was not great, the restaurant was really busy on that evening and it seemed staff was rushing you to leave as soon as possible View all feedback.

Consistently good Turkish restaurant, one of the originals. Attentive service and great atmosphere. Food is delicious especially with the optional garlic and spicy sauces. Amazing baklava.

Hazev was amazing!! I came here recently for my good friend's surprise birthday meal and it was just amazing. For starters, I had halloumi with some hummus and some green stuff (not really sure what it was called but it tasted really good). To drink, I had peach juice which I hadn't tasted before. I'm usually on the iced tea vibe but the juice definitely hit the spot. For the mains I have the Hazev mixed grill which had chicken cubes, lamb, couscous but I swapped it for sweet potato fries and so

Hazev’s a staple if you’re in the Canary Wharf area. Their food and desserts are always tasty and affordable. Whenever I have the time I try to sit there and have a turkish kahve (coffee). This was my first time trying their backlava and it was soft but flaky the true test of a great backlava.

Nice fine dining Turkish restaurant with authentic taste. Everything is tasty and the service is friendly. It is clean. Also good for after work drinks. You could reserve rooms at the restaurant area as well as seated section in the bar area for groups.

We popped into Hazev for coffee and some cake, and I wished I could have stayed longer just to soak in the view. The location is beautiful — right on the water, calm and peaceful. Staff were genuinely friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, perfect for a quiet break or a chat with friends. The coffee was great, the cake was fresh, and the whole experience just felt easy and pleasant. We’ll be back — highly recommend if you’re in the area and want something away from the noise. We were pleased with our overall experience at the restaurant. We opted to dine at the cafe instead of the main restaurant, as we were looking for a light meal with tea. We ordered Turkish tea and Mezzes, and everything was delicious. In comparison to other cafes, we found the quality to be quite good and the prices were reasonable.

Enjoy chargrilled meats and vegetables in a waterfront dining room adorned with turquoise glass and walnut wood furnishings.

Clean and quite place with good tables where you also have some armchairs close to the windows where you also have a view to the dockland waters, Food is really good and you the option to create your own pack, you have meat, soups, vegetables, more like anything you desire if you want to have a quick meal, However if you wish to have a big meal dinner with the family the place might not be quite fit for that Enjoy

Really overpriced, I wouldn’t even note this place as particularly accommodating for vegans. Very expensive food for mediocre small portions and the kind of place where thy give you constant upsell to spend more.

Portions a little smaller than expected given the price. Staff are lovely albeit not enough of them. Cocktails (porn star martini) well portioned and delicious!

Have eaten many times here but today very disappointing. Given a dirty tea cup, no apology. Must of taken 10 minutes for two members of staff to. Make 2 teas. Had eaten the cake by the time cake arrived. Will not return.

We enjoyed our celebratory dinner at Hazev. Food was as delicious as they looked in the pictures we took. The concept of a cafe, restaurant and bar works really well....three different spaces connected by its food and excellent customer care. A must if you are in the area.

The staff was extremely polite and helpful. They let us be very welcome from the moment we came to the restaurant. Your warmth made you feel like you definitely want back. Cocktails and food were right and a generous amount too! Will definitely go back!

Amazing place. You have a separate café shop and a la carte restaurant that is good. Many delicious Turkish treats for sale! flew into the a la carte section and some classics like Borek, Iskander, Bulgur Wheat; Lentil soup and Baba ganoush. Very delicious food. Good piece sizes and space was very clean. Great service and bathroom are very nice. Worth a visit! Again for some treats in the shop!

I've been to Hazev many times with work, family and friends. Food is lovely and waiters are very nice and professional. Nice place with water views and yes, a bit expensive but a must try!

Popular Turkish restaurant and cafe. Prices in the cafe are a bit high for cakes at almost £6 also they charge more for a bigger tea, same bag but just a bit more water and is way more expensive so it doesn’t make sense.
