Was Anonym at Halal a mag?
We are so glad we discovered this hidden gem! The service was excellent, both for dining and customer care. I highly recommend the meat biryani and the chicken tikka masala; they had a delightful smoky flavor and weren't overly sweet. Looking forward to our next visit! View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Halal:
If you’re in the mood for straightforward, no-frills classic curry, this place is worth a try. It’s one of the few traditional spots in the East near the city. I had the chicken curry with half a portion of potato curry, served with white rice, and a side of samosas, all for just £14. Plus, they allow you to bring your own beer, which is a nice bonus! The restaurant is good for native people I will never suggest is for Indian/Asian people, too bad food with just turmeric powder poured in all dishes ,served preheated paratha and the waiter said it's fresh , allover I will not suggest the place for Asians
Service is good, atmosphere is ok. Consider to buy new plates, the plates they given to us were too old with the permanant stain of food colour and lot of scratches. Food quantity and taste 10/100. I visited this restaurant because it is Indian and Halal. But my personal opinion is I'll not visit here again and don't recommend to my friends.
Enjoyed a *wonderful* lunch! The service was attentive and food was absolutely delicious, piping hot, ready fast (but did not feel at all rushed) and very reasonably priced.
The restaurant received mixed reviews, with some diners finding the dishes lacking in authenticity and flavor. However, others praised the quality of the ingredients, the attentive service, and the affordable prices. The option for half servings allowed for more variety, while BYOB policy was appreciated. Overall, the restaurant seems to cater more towards a British palate rather than traditional Indian flavors. The staff received criticism for their lack of professionalism in some instances. While some customers may find it suitable for a quick meal, those looking for a more authentic Indian experience might be disappointed.

The staff here are extremely friendly, and the dishes are absolutely delicious. Thank you for everything!
My new favorite Indian restaurant! with fantastic food and amazing service, I can't believe I didn't find this jewel earlier! every dish I ordered came fresh, fragrant and tasteful. we could say it was only made for us. the halal restaurant is worth a visit.
Was on the street near our hotel with my family looking for places to eat on our first night in London. A lovely gentleman saw us looking confused, came up to us and we started a conversation. He told us if we wanted real authentic Indian food without caring about location or aesthetics, this was his favourite place. We didn’t mind, back home our favourite pizza place was a small place in a street corner and we’d go there for years. We were still skeptical, though, we didn’t know much about London, after all! After a couple minutes of walking we got there, and the service and food did NOT disappoint! Absolutely amazing. Friendly staff, authentic and delicious Indian food, just an overall great experience. So far during our stay in London, nothing has been able to top it! The gentleman that sent us there was truly an angel from above LOL
