Description

Efendi, a Turkish restaurant in East London, has a lot of potential to be great, but currently falls short due to inconsistent food quality and distracted waiting staff. Despite issues with service and portion sizes, the decor is lovely and the restaurant itself is spacious. Some patrons have experienced slow service and long wait times for food. However, the food quality is excellent, particularly the lamb kebabs. Prices are reasonable and the overall experience is positive, making Efendi a must-visit spot in the area. Authentic Turkish dishes, friendly service, and a cozy ambiance make Efendi a top choice for a delicious meal.

Overall a very disappointing experience. Starter was OK but the main course was terrible. Small pieces of fatty lamb, small portion of rice and a token salad. The most disappointing aspect of the evening were the staff. Not greeted on entry and the waiters looked...like they just didn't want to be there. Didn't ask us if we wanted desert, another drink. In fact, they didn't ask anything at all. No tip left and none deserved.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend trying the Lamb tagine dish. The service from Adel and Sana was excellent. I look forward to coming back again.
