Ate in the bottom bar worst food ever, served by zombie staff who looked like they had the day spent huffing glue. never again.
Great place. big sam smiths pub. cheap, friendly staff, fantastic eating and great outsight. decent apple wine selection also. What else do you want?
One of my favorite pubs in east london! this is a real local pub with tons history served great food and good pints. I love coming here.
Beautiful riverside pub with a good terrace guaranteed to be packed on a hot summer day. eating is served on the upper floor, the bar staff is very pleasant.
Situated along the north bank of the Thames, The Captain Kidd is a charming pub steeped in history. With a classically British atmosphere, this Sam Smith-owned establishment offers a large selection of beers and a beautiful riverside garden for summer enjoyment. The interior boasts old world charm and interesting nautical decor. While some find the prices a bit steep for the quality of food, the overall experience is delightful, with friendly staff and great views. This converted warehouse pub is a must-visit in Wapping, offering an authentic pub experience with lovely outdoor seating overlooking the Thames River.

The Captain Kidd is a charming pub located in the heart of Wapping, offering an exceptional Sam Smiths double four lager for £4.60. Situated on a quiet paved road just a short two-minute walk from Wapping overground station, this pub is named after the notorious pirate William Kidd. The interior is decorated with a nautical theme, featuring large wooden beams that resemble those of a ship. The atmosphere is lively and bustling, with a mix of patrons enjoying drinks and meals. The pub offers a lovely view of the River Thames and a pleasant outdoor seating area for warmer days. Service is prompt and friendly, and the double four lager is a great value at £4.40. Overall, The Captain Kidd is a wonderful spot to enjoy a drink and soak in the historic ambiance of Wapping. I highly recommend a visit when in the area.
The pub is spacious with a lovely courtyard that overlooks the river. The food served at the pub was delicious and the Sam Smith beer was particularly enjoyable.
This is a great place. The pub has a nice garden right next to the river, perfect for relaxing in the sun. The interior is fantastic with a lot of wood and different seating areas. I enjoyed a delicious couple of pints of Samuel Smith's cask ale, highly recommended. It's a spacious pub.
