The kitchen served a dish that should have contained green peppercorns, but it didn't. The plate doesn't lie. After we expressed our disappointment with the taste, the kitchen admitted they had omitted the green peppercorns because they were out of stock. Perhaps they thought we wouldn't notice? I hope other customers didn't unknowingly experience this. The dish was replaced. Overall, the food was good. The service was pleasant.

At Mao's, the menu is clear, with allergens listed, and the staff is sensitive to allergies and intolerances. We were even offered a special amuse-bouche, a thoughtful touch that made us feel more confident. The dishes were delicious (spring rolls, lemongrass beef, and filet mignon), and we experienced no symptoms.
