Several of our party had been to La Chope so we decided to give it a try on our last night. Everyone we spoke to raved about it and we were not disappointed. The place was spotless, the service was excellent, the food beautifully prepared with excellent ingredients - what's not to like. Even better, they had kidneys on the menu - one of my favourites - so I was a happy bunny.This restaurant was established in 1902 and this says it all - it has lasted through thick and thin because it offers fab food at an affordable price - do go next time you're in Tours.

We were both exhausted but let me tell you the oisters, foie gras and the fish in bouillabaise omg. Delicious.

All the dishes were good and the wines were very nice and reasonable.
