We had a lovely lunch at H&G Tea Shop, the quiches were very tasty and a fair size with some nice fresh lettuce. The kids enjoyed their crepes very much. I am a tea lover and I was impressed by their menu and quality. Everything...here is clean and fresh and they sell some nice presents to take home. A great little place! View all feedback.
On the search for midday we were thrilled to find this very welcoming and comfortable caffe. the croques monsieurs were exactly what we needed and the cakes are exquisite. what a tasty bite. every future visit in tours will definitely be hansel and gretel.
I remember my first visit of this tea salon a year ago. I had a very good memories of warming up by a tea gourmand with little delicious cakes. After coming back this year I can't say that my opinion changed even a bit! It's...same place with an amazing friendly atmosphere and same delicious little cakes and tea! I must say that it's pretty much rare for France to have that huge tea choice! Very nice and adorable owner makes you wanna come back again and again!

Our first morning in Tours was a Sunday, when many businesses are not open, at least not in the morning. After visiting the awe-inspiring Saint-Gatien cathedral, we were more than ready to eat, and were a bit dismayed by all the eateries that were not yet open. We happened upon Hansel et Gretel, advertising a brunch. What it treat it was! Tucked along the Rue Colbert, they have a nice week-end brunch, cooked to order in one of the tiniest kitchens ever. We had eggs, crepes, fruit, bread, juice, cake, and the almost unheard of, in Europe: endless coffee refills! The owner speaks excellent English, and despite being busy was happy to talk to us about her experience of living in the United States. She clearly loves what she does, and if brunch doesn't quite fill you--they have a nice variety of teas and sweets for sale to savor later. Highly recommended!
