We went to this restaurant for his reputation. Especially the world champion of the cassoulet. Frankly, I was very disappointed by this dish that I know well elsewhere, being Toulouse. The beans were unevenly cooked, some having an unpleasant taste of raw. The 1/2 thigh confit was hard and fibrous. Superb food in lovely surroundings . Having had cassoulet the previous night my husband and I went for slightly lighter choices for our main course . We were not disappointed. Each course was delicious. One of the nicest meals ever and certainly our favourite restaurant in Toulouse.
Being accustomed to beautiful addresses, I enjoyed myself at Gentil Magre! Divine cassoulet, sophisticated wines at affordable prices given the quality and rarity of the estates. Professional and relaxed welcome, even the cook who manages the kitchen perfectly is at ease with this floral jacket which puts us in the warm and friendly atmosphere of the South-West! I highly recommend.
With my wife, we discovered this restaurant on the occasion of a dinner in love. What a kitchen, but what a kitchen!We enjoyed it from beginning to end!We took the wine option, which allows to have a glass of wine matched to each dish and it was an excellent idea. Excellent table !mention spéciale au dessert : le Paris-Brest est fabulous !!!
Very good quality, well valued. with a somewhat higher service, this place could deserve a star!
Sober frame, nice service (the young girl), attentive and efficient, and very good cuisine even if not given. very good press grilled with duck with bettes and ... dates, good dish (of calf) and a very good Paris-Brest dessert as otherwise written. Really good. Bravo.
