Le Commerce - Toul

Should you be in Toul this is the restaurant I would suggest for a nice sit down meal. They have a pretty varied menu and the fact that they have been in this same location for over 60 years speaks volumes.

The Brasserie du Commerce was the suggestion of the owners of our hotel and we much enjoyed our dinner. Mme Perdrix offers a varied carte in this town centre restaurant with attractive fin de siecle decor including comfortable banquettes. Her young trainee waitresses were competent, madame herself supervised the kitchen and it all worked very well on an evening when we stayed in Toul purely by chance....

Escargots were nice : Good service, staff speaks English. Situated in the center, there is a good parking just 30m away.

We chose this restaurant as it was on the route we were travelling. We reserved by phone, and on arrival were acknowledged rather than greeted, and ushered to a table. No one bothered to help with coats, but hey, it was Sunday. The food was pleasant, the ambience fair, but having also walked around the town beforehand, we do not think there was much else to chose from.
