Wonderful country location. Great food and cheerful staff. Plenty room outside when the weather is good. I'll definitely go again !!

Another beautiful high tea at Hope Cottage, can’t recommend this place highly enough! Charmaine, Alan Florence made us feel so welcome on our second visit to Hope Cottage whilst staying at Millbrook Cottages celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary and we quite literally can’t wait to visit you again. I went here with a large group of friends, and we all fell in love with the place. We went in to the family kitchen to choose our cakes from the vast range on offer, then went to sit outside. There are several charming seating areas, with sun or shade as you prefer, and an indoor space decorated with beautiful crocheted plants and animals. The cake portions were HUGE. The lady serving us said, If you 're going to have cake, you might as well have a big bit. A good slogan for life. I can 't recommend this place highly enough. Such a wonderful place.

This family run tea room produces the best scones ever tasted in Devon.. definitely home made saw them being taken from the oven! lovely cuppa in the garden with friendly hosts happy to chat well worth a visit or repeat visits even!

The selection of cakes in mouth watering, the friendliness and service is second to none. Charmaine, Florence and Alan are extremely welcoming and the cakes are amazing! The cheese scone is a favourite!
