After having been to the Barrie location more times than I can count...I was worried that the new location might not hold up. But they exceeded our expectations by far - and they're in the middle of nature so you can sit on the patio or take it to-go and sit by the lake. Incredible pizza, service, and ambiance. Love it! What Payton Mohr doesn't like about Pie Wood Fired Pizza Joint:
Another Muskoka flop. Interesting looking menu and this is where the fun ends. Ordered the pear and arugula salad, the vet pizza and the pepperoni pizza. The crust was soggy in the middle and undercooked. Service was good until our server asked if we would like boxes for our leftover pizza well before we were finished eating. The salad was not well mixed, such that we would eat too much dressing in one bite, and not... View all feedback.
Saw their story on 'you gotta eat here'. Looked forward to trying them out as we are seldom in that part of the province. The building is right on the highway in Torrance and has heavy traffic so the noise level was very high. Placed our order with suggestions from our server. The pie salad was nice. Light dressing on greens. Our pizza was disappointing as it was missing the meat we ordered and arrived with a soggy crust. We were disappointed but will try Pie again but at the Barrie location.
Found this little restaurant on our way out of Muskoka and fell in love with it. The Pizza's are thin crust stone oven cooked and are excellent. Very simple environment. We love the 80's videos playing in the back ground. We have been back 6 times so far this summer great job.

The crust was soggy in the middle and undercooked. Service was good until our server asked if we would like boxes for our leftover pizza well before we were finished eating. The salad was not well mixed, such that we would eat too much dressing in one bite, and not enough in another. There was very little pear and blue cheese and too much greens. Not tasty at all.Parking is quite a shitshow. Can hardly safely navigate to get in and out of the parking lot.Don't recommend and we won't be back.
This is a great pizza place with huge TVs and a modern vibe. Wide range of pizzas and salads to choose from. We like the Porky Pie and you can also build your own. Average pizza price - $10-16. Menus are on-line at eatmypie.ca Other Muskoka locations as well in Mactier and Cleveland's House. Mactier is right off the highway. On the drive up you can call in a pizza order for pickup.
The dough was nice but overall the pizza lacked flavour. I found it a little annoying when I ordered a pizza and the waitress said "we don't have zucchini so it'll be mushrooms" and I said "no thanks, can you just use onions instead?" and her answer was that they don't do substitutions. Well yeah, I read that on the menu, but you're the one who substituted on me... so maybe be a little more flexible? Regardless, overall the pizza was okay (likely better than your other option in Bala, Pizza Nova), but not great at all. Service was the same. Veggie pizza was $15.50 for personal size.
