If you want authentic Japanese food on the cheap, the food court of Mitsuwa (several supermarkets in SoCal) is always a good option. Misasa at the Torrance location has several donburi and bento dishes that are good and reasonably priced. If you want higher quality, your only choice is a much more expensive full-service restaurant.

A beloved gem of Japanese food in Torrance. I come here all the time and the food is always amazing.
