The is my favorite pho place! The broth here seems to be made the traditional way which makes it full of flavour. Other restaurants will usually just use a mixture of pastes and nothing else, this restaurant seems to actually be adding in individual ingredients and then cooking them for many hours. What David C doesn't like about Xelua Vietnamese Restaurant:
Want in for dinner just prior to the lockdown around 6:30 PM. Staff consist of one individual cook and server which is understandable due to the occupancy limitations. Order our meal and needed some extras a) bean sprouts no more b) bowl of rice sold out and was offer a cold bread roll (no butter) in it's place and was charge 2 which he didn't advise in the first place 1 would have been more fair. I used to go to this place every time I went to TO. It was so sad to see how low this place went. Did not even imagine you could mess up food so badly. Fresh spring rolls came with brown watery tastless sauce insteqd of penut sauce. Soup came without any of the sides no mint, no bean sprouts, no lemon. Meat was wrong. Shrimp was rock dry and tastless. There are so many goos Vietnamese places just qround the corner. Avoid this overpriced monatrocety like the plague. It should have been obvious to me too when I saw the place totally empty.
Best pho in town. Soup made fresh daily. Wholesome and good for the body, mind, and soul.
Friendly service, this pho place has been around for many years. Not a fancy place, but quiet and consistent for a quick family meal.
Honestly feeling so sick and disgusted. I complained to the owner about the meat. She said it was from the cut of the meat. THIS IS MOLD! Couldn't take picture of all the moldy meat. Just took a quick picture before leaving.
