The servers are always friendly and the foo... read more I've always liked the authentic diner atmosphere here-there's a picture on the wall of the place about 70 years ago. The servers are always friendly and the food is invariably good. The last time we went, I tried an appetizer that was heavenly...crispy crusted, soft polenta with a tasty tomato sauce and compote of veggies. It tasted like so many of the plates we had in Sicily recently. My main was agnolotti stuffed with squash. The pasta was definitely homemade. Too stuffed for dessert. $145. for 3 of us, including 2 beers, one cocktail and one glass of wine.

Always an interesting daily menu board supported by an "ok" beverage selection. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and unobtrusive.

Considering it... read more Have you been here several times with my boyfriend and his parents love restaurant however I find it to be very bland-normative / very mediocre. Considering it is so mediocre the locations isn't wonderful and the booths are always cramp it is surprising to find the prices to be inflated like 30% higher than the restaurants in the area.Thankfully there's a diamond in the rough in a young hostess/server who is very charismatic and I would call a total superstar definitely makes the universal grill experience worth it.

Coffee refills offered liberal by friendly servers. good restaurant for this neighborship. good, but not as good as it could be with a little more thought to eat its best.
