Food is great! Really good food. Fries are delicious, roasted chicken moist and tasty, coleslaw amazing (But if you like it really creamy you probably won 't like it It is noisy (I am in my fifties so maybe it is me and the tables very close together. They don 't have soda water but they do have salt free sparkling water in a bottle with a hipster looking label. (Perhaps a hipster and soda stream? Finally, they didn... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Union Chicken Front Street:
My friend and I ordered the crispy chicken and the rotisserie chicken. The food was flavorful and juicy, but it could have been hotter. The prices were a bit on the higher side. The dining area is quite small and feels cramped, and it was very loud during our visit. It seems like a good spot for a quick bite for one or two people, which may be the intended vibe of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the server was not ver... View all feedback.
This restaurant is located next to the grand hall inside Union Station. It can be a bit tricky to find, but the security guards are more than willing to help you out. There is plenty of indoor seating, making it easy to get a table. The menu features a variety of drinks on one side and dinner options on the other. There are many different chicken dishes to choose from, but I would recommend going for the handheld items instead. We found the fried chicken to be overly greasy and difficult to eat, as it lacked a variety of other options in smaller portions. The overwhelming focus on fried chicken made our meal less enjoyable. It would have been better if they reduced the amount of chicken and offered a more balanced dinner with sides like mac and cheese, fries, and cornbread. Overall, the restaurant has an interesting vibe and is worth a visit, but don't expect it to fully satisfy your hunger.
A bit confusing to find in Union Station but if you take the stairs down from the main floor with the grand ceiling, you should be able to find it. Union Chicken is a nice sit down restaurant with helpful staff. The menu is not very big but the focus ison fried chicken. We got the OG fried chicken burger, a black pepper poutine side, and a coke to share. The fried chicken wasnice and crispy but juicy on the inside and the poutine had a decent amount of curds. It was relatively quiet during Sundaylunch time and the music wasn?t too long so that we could have a conversation. There is a good amount of seating in therestaurant and it is accessible.
The fried chicken was well-prepared, with crispy wings and juicy boneless chicken thighs. However, I felt that it was lacking in seasoning—specifically, salt. Everything tasted a bit under-seasoned, and I'm typically not one to complain about salty food, but I just couldn't taste much flavor. I didn't want to make a fuss during the meal, so I chose not to mention it to the server. Given this experience, I think I'll need to give Union Chicken another try.
This restaurant is located inside Union Station, just above the PATH. If you ask anyone for the Union Station food court, they'll point you in the right direction. We tried several dishes: the OG Fried Chicken, which was excellent and deserves a 5/5; the quarter leg piece with salad, rated 4/5; the triple-cooked fries, also 4/5; and the cheesecake, which was a perfect 5/5. The service was prompt and the atmosphere was great. I’ll definitely be back!
Had a great time here with my family on Canada Day. Got in just before a mad rush after a Blue Jays game. The staff are clearly used to this every game, because they handled it so well and pushed food and drink orders out very quickly. They definitelyspecialize in getting people their orders so they can catch their train! Although not a typical spot for kids, there are plentyof options for even the pickiest eaters, and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating with my two toddlers. Food wasexcellent all around. The fried chicken was fantastic, perfectly crispy outside and tender/juicy inside. It's all boneless andcomes with a few dipping sauce options (Black pepper gravy, maple honey, and hot sauce). Highly recommend if you find yourselfnear Union Station!
