I tried the classic poke box, and it was fantastic! The fish was very fresh and salmon was well marbled. Crisp, light veggies and the sauces were just right, not too heavy or rich. I got a large and it was a bigger portion than I expected. Very filling and very worth the price considering portion and quality. View all feedback.
What Lucie Davis doesn't like about The Poke Box:
*The Poke Box*I had the SPICY BOX (Salmon Sides: Crab Salad Mix-Ins: Cucumber, Green Onion, Jalapeño, Edamame Sauces: Citrus Ponzu, Spicy Mayo Toppings: Wasabi Peas, Crispy Onions)*3/5 Stars**The presentation upon opening the box was nice*I requested to have the crab slaw removed since I am allergic to shellfish! When the food came, there was crab in the dish and there was a note saying, "Our crab does not contain shellfish" (with a smiley face). I tried a sample of the crab and felt like throwing up. I removed the crab from my dish*The quality of the sticky rice blended well with the dish*The salmon was alright and something felt off with the sauce they used*Overall - this dish was not bad but would consider getting a different dish instead.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The staff was very friendly. Overall, I would rate the food a 4 out of 5.
This restaurant offers customizable poke bowl sizes, affordable prices, and a variety of topping options. Unfortunately, the person working at the counter spoke quietly, making it hard to hear. The seating inside is limited, so it is better suited for takeout. The restaurant is very generous with their sauce, so it may be a good idea to ask for it on the side. Overall, it's not a bad choice for a quick meal.
The service at this restaurant is top-notch. The staff members are friendly and efficient, even during busy times. The ambiance may not be much since it is a take-out spot, but there is a nice vibe in the small store - almost like a poke food truck experience. I would give this restaurant a 4.5 out of 5 overall, only docking half a point because it can be a bit pricey ($18 for a bowl after tax). However, the quality of the ingredients used certainly justifies the cost. For vegetarians, this spot has options available. Two of my coworkers are vegetarians and they now love this place as well. They particularly enjoy the tofu bowl, which is popular among vegetarians. Additionally, there is the option to build your own bowl to suit your preferences.
Ordered The Poke Box on June 6 at this location. Tuna was shredded as opposed to cut in cubes. I thought it was weird but ignored it. Got severe food poisoning and was bed sick whole next day.Poke box was my only meal that I did not share with my family. I was the only one who got food poisoning. If you are serious about food poisoning incidents (as you say in some of the replies) you should investigate who was working that day, and what could be the reason, and who is responsible. On a positive note, I've been ordering from Markham location for two years and never had any issues. Which makes me think that there is an issue with Toronto location.
Mahalo iā 'oe !!An awesome experience and super yummy experience with solid quality poké scoops, natural, fresh and quirky ingredients. I hauled a lunchtime Large Build Your Own Bowl Shrimp and Tofu which was delicious, wholesome and delightfully colorful. The TPB Hot sauce was yummy, but not truly spicy.I must admit, the poké scoops are seriously stingy and service isn 't truly welcoming but it 's a solid feast.Support local businesses!
