The Captain's Boil - Toronto

This was my first visit there. Different style of eating. I enjoyed the experience. Food was good. I really liked the shrimps. Staff was also amazing and gave us good recommendations.

Just entered the restaurant 1 hour before closing as per their hours of operation and was surprised to hear a server yelling “we are closed, go out”, took a while for me to process the situation. We calmly left the place being absolutely devastated at the behaviour and the customer service. I believe in these hard times we should atleast consider to be polite and kind to other if not anything, Don’t recommend, will never want anyone to be treated the way we got treated, Cheers!

The food at Captain's Boil is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. You can savor the taste of seafood at this restaurant.

The food at this restaurant is still good, but it's not as great as it used to be. The service is fast, but not very friendly. It's best not to go later at night because they don't seem to want customers staying past 9pm, even though they close at 10:30. They won't say anything directly, but their passive aggressiveness is obvious. They even turn off the heating to subtly encourage customers to leave. It used to be a great spot to hang out with friends, but next time we'll choose a more welcoming place.

I recently dined at this restaurant where they serve seafood freshly cooked from the ocean and served in a bag right on your table. Despite the use of plastic bibs and gloves, it was still quite messy to eat. I ordered the shrimp and was surprised by how thin the shrimp shells were and how tiny scraps of them managed to get into every bite despite my efforts to remove them. The food was cooked well and of good quality, but the overall experience was not enough to make me want to return.
