The food here is of a good standard and fairly authentic. I tried the Tom Yum Soup and the chicken salad. Both were tasty and well cooked. I'd definitely return. View all feedback.
What Estell Stiedemann doesn't like about Thai Elephant:
The servings were generous at this restaurant, which is a plus because you'll probably have leftovers. The service was a bit slow even though we were one of only two tables in the restaurant, but it seemed that they were busy with a lot of delivery orders. View all feedback.
Ordered delivery from their website At checkout, they have a promo code that allows 10% off your meal if you place it online.
Get the Khao Soi! Food: We ordered the Panang Curry and the (DELICIOUS) Khao soi.
One of my favourite little whole in the wall place to come have lunch.
I went here for lunch with my husband on a Saturday while we were walking on Queens W. There are a few negatives about this place, first of all when you enter the restaurant there is a very strong food smell, to the point where it almost made me gag. I know it's a restaurant and there will be a smell but this was really way too much. The fact that there is no alcohol service is also a minus. The food itself was very average, nothing to write home about and nothing that I would ever again pay for, I can make much better Thai food at home. I would not recommend it and would not go back.
Spring rolls were tasty, crunchy, everything you could ask for. Pad Thai nearly made me gag. Overly sweet but somehow still bland - tasted like they ran out of sauce so just threw in some ketchup to compensate. Completely inedible past a couple of bites. Chicken tasted like it was boiled several days before and left unseasoned beyond tossing it in at the last minute. Basically paid a lot of money to eat overcooked noodles
