Thai By The Park - Toronto

The food was okay, but the service was awful. The server seemed annoyed that we were even there. She didn't want to explain the ingredients in a dish and slammed the cutlery holder and water jug on our table when we asked for them. They really need to work on improving their service.

My experience at this restaurant on Monday night was disappointing. When we arrived, there was no one except for an unfriendly lady who barely acknowledged us. The place lacked ambiance and the service was poor. We had to ask if we could have dinner and she gave us one menu for everyone without checking on us. When we were ready to order, she stayed on the phone and took our order without giving us any attention. This made us feel unwelcome, so we decided to leave. Overall, based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.

We ordered takeout from Thai by the Park to enjoy at the High Park amphitheater during a play. The food was really good overall, but they forgot to include cutlery. The Tom Yum Soup was flavorful with a good portion size and lots of vegetables. The Hot and Sour Soup had a fantastic tangy flavor with plenty of vegetables. The Basil Stir Fry with chicken was satisfying and came with rice. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was good, but had a bit too much sauce and was too spicy for my friend. Unfortunately, the restaurant had a cleanliness issue with fruit flies on our second visit. We may return if we are in the area, but the presence of fruit flies was a big disappointment.

Loved the food, it was really delicious! One of the best Thai food I had in a long long time. And the ambient was also clean and nice. Definitely recommend for anyone who likes Thai food.

They were short staff when we arrived, so the lady working there was very busy and not in a good mood. Food price is fair, but food doesn’t taste great. My Pad Thai was too sweet and shrimp was under cooked.Also, the place doesn’t look that clean.I might not come back.
