I've been to sofia several times and always had both great food and service, but this time was the complete opposite. after my reservation I found that we are c... read more I've been to sofia several times and always had both great food and service, but this time was the complete opposite. after my reservation I found that we are celebrating a birthday. not even it has ever been recognized while we were there, although it was mentioned on our server. we ordered the fritto misto and shortly after our server came back and said they had no more and that was it. he didn't want to suggest anything else or even ask if there is something else we wanted to try. we ordered a bottle of wine that from any reason our server almost one meter away beside another table? it makes sense that a restaurant like this is the server as the one that pours the table glasses. my glass was approx. 10 minutes empty and in these 10 minutes he went several times from us. it made it somehow awkward to get up in the middle of dinner to fill my glass, but we did and immediately another person who probably took someone higher up the bottle to pour for us. at one point our server came by and said: "how we do"-. the table next to us waved him over and before he finished this set, we went away and visited them. he came by, asked if we wanted to dessert, and we said no and shortly after he brought a bill. did not ask if we want coffee, tee or even another drink. had not asked how we wanted the bill to be divided, so when he came back, we asked that they be divided and he swapped the bill out of the table and seemed his eyes rolled into annoying. in addition, the music was absolutely blaring. my friends and I scream about it just to talk to each other. everything in all was good, but the service was terrible. Maybe I'm wrong for taking, but if I go to a higher end restaurant and clearly pay a higher premium on food / drinks, I expect a higher quality of service.
