This was recommended to us as a great brunch spot. The staff was amazing, but the food was very lack luster! Eggs benedict was cold and there was no smoked salmon to be had on my plate. Very expensive brunch for disappointing food. View all feedback.
We went here on a Wednesday night for buck-a-shuck oysters. Every other Wednesday they do a piano battle which I didn't realize we weren't there at the right Wednesday and didn't catch the piano. Food:Food was great! We ended up ordering 2 dozen oysters; chicken tacos; beef cheek tacos and fish tacos. My favourite of the tacos by far was the beef cheek but that's not to say the others weren't good, they just weren't very different from other places I've been. The oysters were fresh and delicious even though they were on the small size (probably the season). I loved that they have an in house hot sauce in 3 (maybe 4)? varying heat levels. I'm a big condiment fan so I thought that was cool. Service:Server was great. He was very friendly and attentive. Bartender was pretty good (even though his Caesars could use some work). The only thing I will say is that the food window from the kitchen is very visible to the dining area and not visible at all from behind the bar. They don't use a bell or anything to say the food is ready and sitting there so for each of our 3 orders of tacos, they sat on the window within feet of us for more than 5 min while the bartender and server were behind the bar cleaning/chatting/shucking oysters. Totally understandable from their standpoint but a bit annoying especially when you're starving! Atmosphere:Cool atmosphere. I liked the high top table which had plenty of room for all 5 giant platters we had on there. If there's one thing I would comment on is that it seems a bit too cool as in cold. The place could use a bit of warmth as everything else about it (our server)! was very warm. All in all, I really liked the place and we will definitely be going back. I just think there are a couple minor details that need to be ironed out. I'm being EXTRA hard on the review because I do want to go back and I'd love if you guys were successful in such a. picky. area and stuck around a while :)

A favourite lunch has to be the grilled chicken Caesar salad. It's the best I've ever tasted! A great addition to Leslieville and the east end.

We have been to the Skwish in the Beach and I am not a fan. We stopped in here in Leslieville for brunch and it was nice. The space is small and intimate and we were able to get a table in the sunshine by the open front. Lots of choices on the menu and $4 Mimosas and Caesars. I had the breakfast, with two eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, potatoes and a grilled tomato and it was good. So was my husband's cheese omelette. The food here is pretty standard fare.
