Nonetheless, I go back as it has been a good patio to hang out with friends in the summer.

Shomal, which means North in Persian, is a lovely restaurant that is always bustling, especially on weekends. Unfortunately, for a $400 price tag, it was so... read more Took a client to this restaurant yesterday along with my family and ordered a variety of kebabs and other dishes. Unfortunately, for a $400 price tag, it was so very average. I haven't been here for a few months but always had great meals at this restaurant that serves a variety of Persian meals and specializes on the food along the Caspian Sea, which is North if Tehran and over the Alborz mountain range (continuation of the Himalayas, hence the name Shomal which is Farsi for the North. Two days ago, I had stopped by to check the place and even talked with the manager and she assured me that their food is always excellent and I should just ask the server to make sure the various meats are not over done, which I did. However, most of the kebabs were dry, chewy and the sauces not as good as usual. The staff and our server were very friendly and helpful nevertheless.
