Was User at Riviera Bakery a mag?
They said they have good canolis, and they weren't lying. Worth the trip into Little Italy. I had lunch in this basic, no frills bakery. They don't overfill the shelves with what doesn't sell, but stick to the good stuff. Great variety of bread, pastries, with a small deli counter. Will be back next trip to Toronto. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Riviera Bakery:
the cannoli are good, but they wouldn't be the best. the almond cookies were good, but not delicate as I like them for a bakery. the cookies were very hard as the package of Italian cookies in food business, but a bit...bigger the desserts looked very present and creatiw out, but a bit stale. I went to the riviera bakery during the Italian festival and was fresh and tasty I think it was a high turnover in considerati... View all feedback.
I enjoyed a delicious slice of pizza from this place. My driver treated me to one. The sauce was really tasty.
I had the pleasure of trying out some delicious baked goods during the Taste of Italy weekend. The cannolis, especially the classic ricotta and pistachio flavors, were fantastic. The almond croissants and cream rolls were also very enjoyable. I will definitely be returning to the bakery, particularly for their crispy sfogliatelle and other treats.
I feel bad to write a negative review but I hope it gets the owners attention and they make change.I went out of my way to come here since I read a review that they have sfogliatelle and that’s all I wanted the day I went. I was left extremely disappointed. I tried it and it was not fresh at all. I returned it to the gentlemen working and he did not charge me for it. He offered me something for free in return but I did not want, I decided to buy a cookie and get a coffee. Big mistake. I threw out the coffee immediately and the cookie was hard as a rock.So disappointing. I see there have been complaints about the pastries not being fresh in reviews from months ago but still nothing has changed. The pastries looked amazing but they were old and stale.Plus the guy working clearly knows nothing (which I feel bad to say) but he was not qualified. Made a terrible coffee and admitted he does not like pastries so how can he be suited to work here… he was the only one in the store.Fix up or this place will go out of business. Unless the business serves another purpose and they don’t care …
