Went with a group of friends last minute. The staff and food was stellar!!! The burger is worthy of the hype, all the food arrived hot & fresh. Cocktail list was stellar with lots of choice, the cucumber cocktail is amazing! View all feedback.
What Ramiro Monahan doesn't like about Richmond Station:
Look, I know this is the time of Covid, but there is simply no excuse for waiting minutes for an appetizer and a drink. Our server was indifferent to our questions or needs and disappeared for long periods with no explanation. Our entire meal...took nearly hours. The gratuity was Included, to add insult to injury. The food was not that great in light of the reviews this restaurant receives. We complained to the serve... View all feedback.
My husband and I, along with our son and his fiance, had dinner at Richmond Station Saturday night. It was the first time for all of us being there, and we absolutely loved it. The food, the service, the ambience were all exceptional. I would highly recommend Richmond Station for a unique dining experience.
First time we did the tasting menu and wine pairing we LOVED it. We just went back and although the food was good, the wine pairing choices didn't compliment most of the dishes. Maybe it was an off night or the main person was away. We will be back for the food only and skip the wine pairing. Great value for the tasting menu compared to many other tasting menus we have done. They cater to your food preferences and we were stuffed by the end.
Menu changes....but one standing item is the hamburger and fries and it is a must for one of your party as everyone will want to try it. Great flavor combinations with salads and desserts. Foodies will want to schedule table with the chef. Friendly staff....we were casual in dress and did not feel out of place although this is more of a night on the town type place.
All was excellent, especially the quinoa salad, smoked, polenta fries, whole grilled fish and ribeye. Good service.
This was our second trip to Richmond Station, and it is a journey for us to get there and enjoy the evening from out of town. We went with open minds to have the chef's choice menu, and were greeted by friendly, helpful staff in a bustling atmosphere. We were seated on the main level, and it is noisy and busy with people constantly moving to and fro, so a little tough to have any conversation. The servers were prompt and helpful in explaining menu choices, and we'd already decided on having the chef cook for us! This involved about an 8 course dinner, and while each dish was tasty and explained by the staff, none really stood out as exceptional that night. The desserts, however, were pretty outstanding! A selection of gelatos/ice creams (couldn't hear the description over the din) was fantastic, and I am not an ice cream fan! Overall, I felt a bit sad that we had spent the time and money to venture to Richmond Station when the dishes were not amazing, and we left wishing we had tried somewhere new. I felt like we had just had back luck with the particular menu that night. Wouldn't recommend for a romantic night either. But... if you haven't been, the food is prepared with care and is definitely something to try!
