What User doesn't like about Rendez Vous Ethiopian:
My second time here after 2 years. 10th time in an Ethiopean eatery. I should have listened to another customer on way to the washroom, he said try something different this time. I wish I came out that time. Extremely poor quality, and much reduced...quantity (probably they know people can not eat this bad bad food). Chicken was like tough rubber, when gave the feedback they asked if we eat lamb or beef. Who cares ma... View all feedback.
If you are looking for high dining, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for authentic Ethiopian food and a cultural experience, you've come to the right spot! My party of 3 ordered 3 different dishes which were served all together on a large platter. SO GOOD.
FABULOUS meal and superb service. Our attendant explained everything very well. We had leftovers! Recommended to me by an Ethiopian friend
Brought parents here, for them to try something new. Ordered vegetarian combos, and it was a big hit. More than enough food. Favourite is the traditional coffee ceremony. Between the explanations of the origins and the cook bringing out the hot frying pan with the coffee beans, it was a truly enjoyable experience! Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere, and food, and price.Very much recommended.
This is now the second time I have visited this restaurant. My son, who lives in Toronto, was told by an Ethiopian co-worker that this is the most authentic place with the best food. The first time my son took me there was last year and I loved it. I've had Ethiopian before, but this place really brought it up to the highest level. During my recent visit with my son, we went there again and enjoyed it just as much. This time, though, we took his wife for her first experience. She loved it too. The atmosphere is authentic. The place is always busy (a good sign). I suggest that you make reservations since it's a small restaurant with limited seating. Parking can be somewhat of an issue, though. We ended up getting a $50 parking ticket, because we didn't see the small print on the sign that said no parking after 6:00 p.m
