Picked this place on OpenTable just based on it having a table for that evening. We had a really great meal - oysters followed by the wild boar pasta was delicious. My husband had crab cakes and then the jambalaya. Good cocktails, nice red wine and great service topped off by a cool vibe in the restaurant. Simple but tasty and would definitely go back. What User doesn't like about Provo FoodBar:
Across from the AGO; a good location for lunch or dinner.Lots of types of beer, and an interesting menu.Food was just OK however. Lacking real flavour, the beet salad was a bore with wilted greens and not enough cheese.Calamari was also mostly lacking any interesting flavour.Crostini was better. View all feedback.

Called in for drinks and oysters after visiting AGO after being attracted by the chalk board offer of cheap oysters. Very friendly service, excellent beers and wine and lovely oysters too.
Out walking we were desperate for something to eat and stumbled across this food bar. I got to try my first eve Heuvos Rancheros and it didn't disappoint. It was fantastic. Lovely place to spend a bit of time relaxing and having d food. I highly recommend this place.
This has become our go to place after events at the AGO. The food is fabulous and cooked with great care and style. The price point is very moderate for the quality of the food and they offer very drinkable, (thankfully non-Canadian) wine for $5 per glass. The decor is steam punk and the windows open out to Dundas on a pleasant evening. Overall a great find!
Delicious food, great service, reasonably priced, and, in contrast to many other restaurants, we could actually hear one another in conversation. We highly recommend Provo to anyone living in or visiting Toronto.
