Was Christine Bayer at Pow Wow Cafe a mag?
Definitely worth the wait! The portions are huge, and you'll be sure to leave satisfied. The sauce on the poached eggs was absolutely delicious. The fried bread with smoked salmon makes for a fantastic combination. The home fries are crispy and perfectly seasoned. I'm really sad to see Pow Wow closing, but I wish all the best to the owners! What Siddharth Wagh dislikes about Pow Wow Cafe:
I waited in line for over thirty minutes, despite the fact that they were already open. Fortunately, we were the last ones to be seated. I ordered the tacos, which turned out to be fried dough topped with chili. The coffee was decent, and they offered some nice local teas as well. It was a bit pricey, but the portion sizes were satisfactory. View all feedback.
The team at Pow Wow Cafe catered a dinner for over 200 people, and it was fantastic. They executed everything flawlessly. The buffalo meatloaf for the main course and the blueberry crumble for dessert were especially popular. Be sure to visit them before they close!

I ordered the beef chili taco, which I was told is a traditional dish served at a Pow Wow. I decided to give it a brunch twist, and it did not disappoint. The portion sizes were generous, the food was fresh, and it was absolutely delicious. Though I'm saddened that they are now closed, I will definitely be keeping an eye on any future endeavors from this chef.
The space is a bit tight, but being surrounded by friendly and cheerful people really enhances the atmosphere. The staff is incredibly nice, and the chef is truly talented. The food is outstanding! We had a McPowWow sandwich and a plate of Bison Chili Tacos, which was a generous serving of deliciousness. It was definitely worth the wait to get in.
A must-visit spot in Toronto, especially before they close down! The fried bread was absolutely fantastic and very authentic. The portions are substantial, and everything tasted wonderful. I did find the inclusion of smoked salmon to be a bit modernized; I would have preferred something more traditional. Honestly, the fried bread was my favorite part of the meal! Their sweet grass soda is delicious, and I need to track down a place to buy it. Just a heads up, they only accept cash!
