Went for dinner with family and itâs my wifeâs second visit. She wanted me to try out this new place. Unfortunately their bar tender is still not in so the drink menu is a disappointment and all sakes are full bottle so itâs very hard to order for two people. Decided on a beer but later realized they marked it up times from LCBO pricing. They do grilled meat well but the sushi/sashimi/dessert is just average with a high price tag. With so many other options in town, their food quality does not match with the price points. Overall it seems to be an average izakaya (without drink menu with an updated reno. Most customers seem to be Asian who like to try nice looking things but not the food quality itself. Definitely not returning. PS. The washroom does not match the upstairs reno and price point of this place at all. It was so crammed!
Food great, presentation very good, a good choice and a nice mix of dishes. The Chilean sea bass was outstanding and well worth the visit.
Great service, good selection menu, food was delicious with detailed platting. One of the top Japanese restaurants I would say in Torontoâ¦
In general the service was good. Waitress was friendly. However at some point of the dinner no one was taking away the dishes and topping the water.
Experience the best of Japanese cuisine at this hidden gem in the city. Serving high-quality ingredients and creative dishes, this restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience. While some reviews note minor service issues and inconsistent dishes, the overall ambience and food quality are praised. With friendly and attentive staff, an extensive menu offering conventional sushi items along with grilled entrées, and beautiful presentation of dishes, this restaurant is worth a visit. Don't miss out on trying the Wagyu steak and unique sake glasses. Make a reservation to enjoy a memorable meal at this top-notch restaurant.

Service was excellent! Food was good. A couple of areas for improvement will take it to the next level! 1. Consider how the sizzling pot mushroom can be re-arranged so that the fried mushrooms don’t get soggy immediately time in the sizzling pot’s gravy. Maybe a layered dish where the mushroom and gravy are separate? 2. The crispy shrimps were not super crispy. They tasted good and portion size was great. 3. The mushroom rice required a bit more seasoning and flavour to really let the mushroom umami shine through. TLDR: all looks but no substance I ordered a $15 uni tofu bowl and a $30 A5 Wagyu nigiri. I thought the uni tofu bowl would have a tiny bit of uni on top but when it came out, there was a huge amount of uni on it how could that much uni be on a $15 bowl? Turns out I don’t know what it was because it was cooked uni and it was like this spongy inedible mess. I literally removed it from my bowl altogether. There was also a small crab shell in the little bit I ate. The A5 Wagyu came with unagi sauce and gold flakes but honestly the quality of the A5 was not good. It was musclely and sinewy, couldn’t chew through two of my five pieces (didn’t even want to eat the 6th one) Service, the girl was nice to comp my tofu bowl which I barely touched, but the guy who took my order forgot my Diet Coke. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
Food is very mid for the price. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: $100+
