Contribute FeedbackLocated in Toronto's Leaside neighborhood, McSorley's has undergone significant changes in ownership and staff, resulting in a decline in quality. Formerly known for its quirky charm and delicious wings, the restaurant now features loud TVs, poorly cooked food, and unwelcoming service. Regulars lament the loss of the old atmosphere and menu. Despite a few positive reviews praising fast service and good food, overall, McSorley's seems to have lost its appeal as a neighborhood hangout. Customers are advised to explore other dining options in the area. Time has moved on from the once-beloved McSorley's.
I stopped in for a drink and a snack. The hockey game was on, and the pub was full of people enjoying the scene. I had some nachos and a drink. An agreeable place.
Free peanuts to make you thirstier! Great sports bar with a nice selection of food. Friendly staff and cold beer, or not too cold if you order a Guiness...Parking: Street parking on busy Bayview Ave. Luck of the draw, depending on time of day.
This place used to be really great, but with rapid changes in staffing (presumably the fault of the owner, who I have heard is not pleasant to work with from former employees), the quality has absolutely nosedived. Our orders were taken incorrectly, took 20+ minutes to come out, and came out staggered so some of our party were served while others were not. Additionally, the food tasted like it was cooked with hatred as opposed to love. If you are looking for brunch, do not come here. There are many better places. Blech.
Of the 4 meals ordered, not one was delivered the way that was requested. Eggs cold, bacon undercooked, toast forgotten, fries undercooked, perogies poorly cooked.
My favourite pub in Toronto! Great for after-work drinks with pals, kid friendly but not too kid-focused. A nice spot to watch the game, catch up with friends, great drinks and amazing food on the patio in the summer.
