Was Anonym at Local 1794 a mag?
It is one of the restaurants and bars that opened a couple of years ago to change the bar scene of The Danforth. Beautiful decoration, many kind of beers on Tap and good for dinner too. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Local 1794:
Came here for a friend's birthday to have drinks and light snacks. Tight space not really suited for large groups, but they tried very hard to make it work and we were grateful. Had a nice neighbourhood feeling. Good selection of draughts, but mixed drinks are definitely not what you would come here for. Decent pub fare. We had poutine (good), grilled shrimp (could be tastier), sweet potato fries (ok) ... you see whe... View all feedback.

It was my son's Birthday on Friday, we contacted the restaurant the day before to make a reservation for dinner since the reviews online are so good, and they're always busy I wanted to make sure they would have a table available for us! If you live between Coxwell and Woodbine this gem on Danforth Avenue is for youThe atmosphere is upscale, cozy, has a relaxing ambiance, very comfortable as well, the music wasn't too loud. The servers were attentive, friendly, accommodating and cheerful. Lots of drink offerings, good selection of wines, cocktails, and 25 microbrewery beers on tap which my son and husband enjoyed. If you aren't sure about which one of the beers, ask the waitress for a sample to try first. The food was fantastic, we shared the cheese board as an appetizer. My daughter- in-law enjoyed the Arugula, Spinach, Goat Cheese, Roasted Pears, Walnuts Salad with Salmon Fillet which was yummy! My husband enjoyed there homemade Spagetti Bologenese. I tried the Seafood Risotto and it was fresh and tasty. The only negative experience was, my son ordered his steak medium rare and it was overcooked to medium. The waitress apologized and offered to take it back, however he didn't want to eat after us, so he was willing to keep it. Everyone elses food was delicious. Finally, i would like to say this place makes a delicous cappiccino coffee. When the waitress brought us the bill she had deducted the price of my sons steak dinner in half and the coffees were complimentary. Great cusomer service! All in all, it is so nice to find a place for a decent meal in Danforth Village in the east end of Toronto. I would recommend this trendy pub to my friends and family if they should be in the area in the near future.

We have been here a few times with our family of four. The food is excellent and good variety in the menu. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The decor is warm and cosy and the tv's playing old movies is great, I love them! It's wonderful to have another great restaurant in the east end. The ribs are delicious and the calamari is crispy and cooked perfectly.

Good beer selection and burgers. Always busy so best to book ahead. Little noisy as small but great atmosphere...most tables for 2-4 so not as,good for larger groups.

A 4 out of 5 rating? Are you kidding me? The grilled Caesar salad alone elevates this restaurant above that! The servers are great, the decor and soundtrack are very nice, and the food is fantastic. Overall, a warm and enjoyable dining experience.

I picture professionals in their suits gathering here after work to enjoy wine and food together.
