Good location if going to Budweiser Stage for a concert. Started out on the patio but construction noise brought us inside. Service was attentive but waitress was quite unexperienced. Brought our mains before the appetizer. The restaurant did not charge us for the appetizer. The table had brisket and wings. The brisket was tender. The coleslaw and beans were good. The appetizer was pierogi with jalapeno. It was quite... View all feedback.
I travel across the city for Summerlicious to indulge in delicious food and drinks, and my visit to Liberty Common was definitely worth it. Located near Exhibition Station, it was easy to locate on the lower level with a spacious dining and bar area, along with a newly opened patio. Initially denied patio seating upon arrival, my friend's insistence eventually landed us a table outside. I wish I had known about the patio when making reservations!
My friend Gord and I had dinner tonight at Liberty Commons in Liberty Village, which just recently opened. They have a beer store by Big Rock if you're looking to grab a drink. Gord enjoyed his Scotch Egg and said he would definitely order it again. I opted for the Jerk Chicken as my main dish and thought it was delicious enough to order again. Gord tried the Beef Brisket and thought it was really good as well. I had a taste and found the beef to be tender with a nice smokey flavor. For dessert, Gord ordered rice pudding, which he loves, and I tried a few spoonfuls. Our server Sarah took good care of us throughout the meal. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be returning in the future!
It's a very beautiful place, opened not too long ago, I loved the decor, friendly staff, appetizers were good, great craft beer selection. Located in liberty village.
Having read some other reviews, I was not overly enthused when a friend recommended we visit liberty commons. I am now a big fan and will be back again! Yes, the beer is excellent but you knew that. What surprised me was the food! I started with the "No Sharing Nachos" from the 5-7 menu which were amazing. Not sure why they call them no sharing as they made 2 small plates for me an my friend, since she is intolerant of dairy. So yes, we did share! I followed that up with the beef brisket which was amazing and better than many Toronto BBQ joints. My friend had the jerk chicken which was impressive as well. Thanks for a great meal! Will return!
Went here with a few friends from work . Beer was great , the squash and Quinoa dish i had was okay , however the horror came when we ordered Pretzels. Firstly they look like baguettes. They were overcooked and took significant effort to chew. But thats not even the worst part . they came wrapped in paper on a plate and the waitress grabbed the paper which was much to small for the whole baguette and unwrapped it and placed it on the table. The ends of the baguette were touching the table. Also she touched the baguette. Then they brought out these 2 jars of mustard but they wouldn't leave them on the table so the waitress took scoops of mustard and trew them on the wrapping paper . It was a giant mess and really gross. Firstly i don't want my food touching the table. Please invest in a proper tray or board for these pretzels, and give people little dipping dishes with the mustard. I don't want some waitress deciding where to put my scoops of mustard, or touching my food. also stop overcooking this food...and don't call it a pretzel cause that is pure shame. on top of that its quite expensive comparing quality with all the other pubs in liberty village. if i go back it would just be because friends drag me there for drinks only.
