At Le Batifole we felt liked we are at a friend's place. Their staffs are personable, they know their dishes, and, of course they speaks French fluently. The ambiance is cosy giving this is only a maximum 45 seatings restaurant. I had converted to be a fish eater after I explored a mouthful of their Crab
I stumbled onto this restaurant totally by chance and what a lucky chance it was! Although many of the dishes weren't meant for a vegetarian, the waiter was very patient and helpful in finding dishes that would meet my needs. I had only an appetizer but I was waited on as if I were ordering the most extravagant items on the menu. It was a delightful experience and I would recommend this charming little spot to anyone wanting a truly unique dining experience.
We returned, with a friend, after absence of more than a year and realized that we should have come back much sooner. Food was perfect, selection ample, service pleasant. It's far from the madding crowd and looks unassuming while maintaining the highest standard.
Exceeded our expectations. Recommended by a friend (chef) and we were intrigued by the history as Christmas Story is one of our favorite movies. So the movie connection was fun ... but the food and the wait staff were fantastic. Americans on holiday celebrating many wedded years were afforded consistent attention, guidance and warm courtesy. Every suggestion and dish was beyond what was described and we were treated as favorite customers. Also the energetic atmosphere was not distracting for these two NYC 'ers, and the patrons at the surrounding tables were joyful and friendly. The waiter, my guess manager, was patient and the perfect humor for us. Highest recommendation as we will be back each visit to beautiful Toronto.
