I am Italian and I am particular when it comes to Italian food... this place did have great food. The only down side was what happened when we went to pay. As mentioned in other reviews, there is 16% tax added to your bill. We were a large group and we were told we cannot split the bill so we were brought one big one (I believe it was about $600 with 16% tax added on top of that). Once we paid and left what I would think was a substantial tip, we heard the staff RIGHT IN FRONT OF US complaining that we didn't leave a big enough tip! The owner/manager was also joining in on the conversation, again right in front of us, and making comments about "people who don't leave a good tip"... excuse me? First of all, they would not let us split the bill which would have got them a separate tip from each of us. Second of all, if you are not satisfied with the tip, keep your comments to discussions AFTER the customer leaves!... and having the owner/manager agree and condone this behaviour?? ...it's too bad because this absolutely ruined our evening and none of us will be returning.
