La Risata - Toronto

Came to this restaurant twice already with my familyGreat atmosphere! Restaurant looks clean and neatly decorated.

Went here for the Groupon deal (3 course prix meal for 2 people). and I can only say, DON'T DO IT! Please view my pictures and you will understand why.

We came here for a business lunch.__We were quite pleased with the lunchI had the sea bass, and it was quite good, albeit small.

Came back here because of an outstanding experience the last time. (See review of May 2016) This time we had the Gamberetti Agru Dolce and Kale Salad for appetizers. Both good with the shrimps exceptionally flavourful. The mains of Lamb Ossobucco and Pollo Supreme added to our experience as they were both very good. We finished with an excellent crème brulee and chocolate cake. Good meal that reinforced my good feelings about the place, The only negative - our server, Cynthia, insisted on adding the comment "Suggested Tip" and an amount on the bill before handing it to us. Some might take it as an affront. For us, it felt like we needed a reminder, like we didn't know any better. My thought was that it is always the diner prerogative and this might have an adverse affect on the tip....

We went to celebrate a birthday at this restaurant with a few family members and several of us got very sick after eating the food at La Risata restaurant!To make matters worse, we spoke to the Manager, Vince and this person took no responsibility and didn't even apologize about our bad experience!Please don't eat at this restaurant if you don't want to end up sick to your stomach and having to deal with irresponsible, rude and a lier for a manager like Vince!
