I had high hopes visiting this restaurant, and it lived up to all of them. The cuban beer here is incredible, and I will be tracking it down on my own. The appetizers, namely, conch fritters and yuca fries, are mouthwateringly delicious, and their medianoche (a traditional Cuban sandwich) is out of this world. Stop here for a quick bite while you're in the area and you won't be disappointed. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Cubana:
Have the people who run this place actually ate an authentic cubano? This is closer to grilled cheese with a slice of store bought deli ham and pork thrown in, not even Cuban style bread. If you have had an enjoyed a cubano sandwich from Tampa or Miami and are expecting to enjoy one here you will be sadly disappointed. If however a posh grilled cheese is what your after then it's not bad. This restaurant serves fantastic food with excellent portion sizes. It is a hidden gem with friendly staff and delicious meals. Unlike other Latin American spots that lack flavor, this place offers a perfect mix of flavors. The beef rib platter was exceptional, and the Yuca fries with house-made sauce were incredibly tasty. I will definitely be returning as soon as possible. This restaurant is a must-try!
I had been curious about this restaurant for some time, and I was not let down. The short rib sandwich was fantastic. I also tried some of their sides, particularly enjoyed the conch fritters - I highly recommend them to anyone visiting their Ossington location. The coleslaw had a nice kick to it, which I enjoyed.
If you're in the mood for a Cuban sandwich, this place is a must-visit. We tried both the classic Cubano and the Pork Belly burger. The food was delicious overall, with the Cubano being tasty but missing that tangy kick you expect from a generous portion of pickles and mustard. The staff was friendly and it's a great spot for lunch.
Love this place! It has the most amazing vibe and the menu is simpleIt offers a good range of sandwiches and a same options in platters.
Tldr: Quite authentic Cuban food with a bit of flareGood drinksSandwiches are a bit pricey.
